The Army has confirmed that Chelsea Manning, who is serving a 35-year sentence at Fort Leavenworth for leaking classified information, was taken to the hospital Tuesday.
CNN reported on its website that Manning was taken to the hospital after what is believed to be a suicide attempt. But this claim has not been independently confirmed by the Leavenworth Times.
Manning is an inmate at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth. Manning, who was formerly named Bradley Manning, was sentenced in 2013 to 35 years in military prison for leaking classified information to the WikiLeaks website while serving in the Army.
Manning was born a male but has asked to be recognized as a woman. In 2014, she legally changed her name to Chelsea Manning.
Graphic Warning – Death from above. “You will never see it coming.” Video that Manning leaked to Wikileaks.
When ground troops arrive they see that there are children in the car.
Crazy horse 18, “Well its their fault for bringing their kids to a battle.”
Amazingly the children survived the attack.
